The City of Tshwane Executive Mayor, Cllr Randall Williams, together with MMC Mare-Lise Fourie and MMC Sylvester Phokoje were vaccinated at Atteridgeville Community Hall on 24th May 2021.

The Executive Mayor said recent Covid-19 reports indicate that active cases have now jumped to 3 072.

“This is yet again another noticeably high week-on-week increase in active cases, in the previous week the figure stood at 2 156 active cases,” he said.

Mr. Williams said, “The continued increase in active Covid-19 cases is concerning and requires increased vigilance from all residents. It is also important that everyone who is eligible to register for vaccination in this current phase of the rollout, please do so.

“I would like to reassure our residents that the vaccines are safe and emphasize the importance of ensuring that you are registered,” he said.

Mr. Randall mentioned that the staff at the vaccination sites are very professional and informative.

“I am confident that they will treat everyone with care and dignity,” he said.
