The A Re Yeng bus operation has been expanded to Menlyn starting from Monday 6 September 2021.
New commuters of the buses will have to get a connecter card for them to use the A Re Yeng buses. The card can be bought at mobile kiosks, existing A Re Yeng stations and walk-in customer care centres in Pretoria CBD at Sammy Marks and Church Square. Commuters with their current cards can use them to admission A Re Yeng buses to Menlyn.
Counsellor Dikeledi Selowa, the MMC of Roads and Transport, said the mobile kiosks have been developed and ordered to bring selling points and marketing activations.
“The location of the mobile kiosks will be around Menlyn Park Shopping Centre and Menlyn Maine. The operational times of the mobile kiosks will be aligned to morning and afternoon peak time operation” said MMC Selowa.
The A Re Yeng bus was announced to the City of Tshwane with the aim of growing the bus services to high-density areas in Tshwane, with this latest move towards growing the A Re Yeng services to Mamelodi, that is where its full potential will be realised.
The schedule of the buses has been created to enhance their availability that looks at the low-demand services and improving routes for the buses. The operating times are weekdays from 06:00 to 20:30 and weekends from 06:00 to 18:30.
