Isago Development Projects (IDP), a Non-Profit Organization (NPO) in Atteridgeville hosted a successful campaign on 28 November 2020, to collect donations of toiletries that will be distributed to orphanages.
On the day, the IDP fed and entertained kids from orphanages and collected the dignity packs donations that are still to be distributed after orphanages have been identified.
One of the parents, Ms Theresa Rantho, said, “Even the parents were entertained, I wish we had more events like this because they unify us and is good for the children.
Everyone enjoyed the vibe at the event and responded to the call to donate toiletries,” said Ms Tshepiso Matalane the chairperson of the organization.
She said this was a pilot project and more initiatives to help the needy are still to come.
“I must congratulate the team for the hard work they have put in coordinating the event,” she said.
The event was sponsored by Roots, Pick n Pay (Nkomo Village), Melodies Garden, Pheli Magazine and Kindrent.
