The Commission for Employment Equity (CEE), in collaboration with the International Labour Organization (ILO) and the Commission for Conciliation, Mediation, and Arbitration (CCMA), is set to host a crucial stakeholder engagement session focused on workplace harassment, including bullying.
This event aims to illuminate the pressing issue of workplace harassment by examining both local and international perspectives. Topics to be discussed include South Africa’s journey regarding workplace harassment, relevant legislation and policy instruments, case law, and practical experiences related to preventing and eliminating harassment.
A key feature of the session will be insights from Namibian and Lesotho experiences, providing a broader context for understanding workplace challenges. Presentations will also be made by the Commission for Gender Equity and Nedlac social partners, who will address existing workplace issues and propose solutions to combat harassment and bullying.
The session will be held under the theme: “Bridging the Equity Gap through Diversity and Inclusion.”
